Delivered in partnership with Wendy Taylor of Taylored Assessments, LDR Squared is delivering a workshop aimed at preparing businesses for the regulations surrounding Data Protection.

Recently the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has taken over the administration for the Data Protection Act (DPA) and is issuing fines for contravention of the DPA. This has led to maximum fines increasing from £5,000 to £500,000. (No messing about with 10% increases here…….)

Wendy has been working with David Reynolds who is a specialist in Information Security and Chairman of the IAAITC, for the last three years, identifying ways in which businesses can protect themselves against the misuse of information, and protect themselves against fines from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

If you handle, store, or transmit personal information or data you should be aware of and comply with the regulations brought about by the DPA. This can include:

  1. 1.  Employee files and information
  2. 2.  Customer records
  3. 3.  Supplier information
  4. 4.  Learner information
  5. 5.  Consumer research

This workshop will cover:

  1. What fines have been issued, and why
  2. how you can protect your organisation
