About LDR Squared

LDR Squared was established by Managing Director Brian Smith OBE in 2001. Brian has a proven track record in cultural change across a wide range of sectors. The OBE honour was bestowed on Brian "For Services to Education and Training".

The delivery team has demonstrated their competence, passion and innovation in support of organisations facing the challenges of global competition and cultural or technological change. They have developed a reputation for delivering solutions that are focused on the business needs of employers but also flexible and aligned to the particular needs of employed learners so that the lessons learnt are effectively transferred to the workplace.

Our portfolio of solutions is designed to ensure that all outputs meet contractual requirements and are to the highest quality standards. That portfolio is structured under three categories; Learning and Organisational Development, Discrete Consultancy Projects and a Learning and Conference Centre with facilities for learning events, workshops and conferences.

Our approach is to customise delivery to meet the needs of customers, clients and learners. We do not offer a 'one size fits all' solution and our first step is therefore to understand what exists - "the current state" before we can help design the required "future state".

As well as our success in the delivery of learning we have demonstrated competence on a range of discrete consultancy projects and development programmes. We have researched and prepared strategic solutions on behalf of Regional and Local Development Agencies, Learning and Skills Council (LSC), Business Link, Universities and Colleges.

We have a unique Learning and Conference Centre, situated within a 220-acre ecology park, overlooking a lake. The tranquil surroundings also provide a stress-free retreat from the workplace. We manage the environmental charity that runs the site which is devoted to organic food production, research into new sources of energy, enterprise and education.

LDR Squared is a registered LSC provider on the UK Register of Learning Providers (ULPRN 10003797 and UPIN 112721) and listed on The North East Service Provider Register as an approved Business Link Provider. Any specific assessment and accreditation activities (NVQ and VRQ) are considered as part of the design process with sufficient time and resources made available to ensure any additional requirements are met.

The Quality Management System applies to all activities of the Company, and has been developed in accordance with the requirements of awarding bodies and Ofsted. The company currently holds accreditation under the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), EMTA Awards Ltd. (EAL) and Investors in People.
